au thingies - a sort of twisted chronicle au where they’re a bunch of high school kids that come together in the backyard of a house party and run into an unknown object in the woods that gives them powers but instead of telekinesis etc etc, they can manipulate minds into making people think and see what they want them to. so they build a world together where they make everyone believe they’re world famous superstars who sold out arenas and stadiums and have dated endless celebrities and have the world at their feet. but the fame and the constant string of lies and the fighting and the drugs and alcohol and sex start getting to their heads and between them, the weight of their fake world gets heavier and heavier on their conscience, leaving them to wonder if they should even have done it in the first place and what needs to be done to correct their wrongs. (harry’s the awkward shy kid with the camera that films everything from the very start, liam and zayn are the power couple, niall is harry’s lifelong neighbour and kind of only friend and louis is the popular kid who threw the party and is friends with everyone except harry who maybe sort of has a major crush on him.)
